A SUMMARY OF MY PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Private practice of Psychiatry including child, adolescent and adult diagnosis and medication management, and civil and criminal Forensic Psychiatry including child custody evaluations.

My practice from 1977 to 1991 was primarily in Forensic Psychiatry, both civil and criminal. In 1991 I left that practice to return to treatment psychiatry, which I have pursued in child, adolescent and adult work, both inpatient and outpatient. Much of my treatment work has involved incarcerated adolescents and adults.

Having extended and deepened my understanding of psychiatric syndromes as they present throughout life, I may now approach the challenges of Forensic Psychiatry with a broader background while continuing my treatment practice.

Research and publication have always been an important part of my professional life, and I have continued to publish. My most recent publication, in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, proposes a previously-unrecognized syndrome.
