After Graduation

Congratulations on finishing your studies with us, and welcome to the Abertay Alumni Network!

Keeping in touch

With you When registering to graduate in absentia, there will have been the option to opt-in to hearing from the University after you leave. If you chose to stay in touch, for the most part, we’ll contact you using your personal email address (the one you registered to graduate with). Over time, keep us up to date with where your adventure is taking you. If your email or postal address change, you can let us know by completing our online form.
With Abertay As a graduate, you have a one-stop-shop email address to direct all your queries to: alumni@abertay.ac.uk
With your Alumni Network One of the perks of having a degree under your belt is that you're now a member of our global community full of inspirational alumni.
  • Twitter - @AbertayUni
  • Facebook - @AbertayUni
  • Instagram - @AbertayUni
Starting today, we encourage you to engage with the network - it's yours after all. Keep in touch and stay up to date with the latest news on our social channels. Don't be shy, tag us so we can share your stories too. If you’d like to tap into the wider Network at any time, you can do this by following Abertay University’s LinkedIn page and searching through the ‘Alumni’ tab. To be searchable in this way yourself, you’ll need to list Abertay University as a ‘school’ within your profile. It’s the perfect platform to build professional networks and support your career.

Graduate destination surveys

Graduate destination surveys are organised by our Careers Team, and are an important tool in helping us shape the future student experience. We rely on the information YOU provide to help inform and shape what our academic and support services look like for new and existing Abertay students.

Destination of Leavers Survey (6 months after graduation)

The Destination of Leavers Survey is run by Abertay's Career Service and gathers information about what you’re getting up to 6 months after graduation. We’re specifically interested in what job and sector you’re working in, and /or what further study opportunities you’ve taken on.

The information you provide will be anonymous, and will help us to inform current and future students of potential work and study opportunities after graduation. The information will also be used within internal departments for reporting purposes.

Graduate Outcomes Survey (15 months after graduation)

Graduate Outcomes is a national survey run by HESA that gathers insight into the status of graduates 15 months after finishing their studies. As well as capturing general information about employment / further study status, the survey asks participants to reflect on how their education and education provider have directly contributed to where they are now.
